Bush At 36% Approval

It seems that the deaths in Iraq, the record high gas prices, and the grieving mother at his doorstep have had an effect. The dis content is taking hold. How bad is it for Bush? Try this on for size: The American Research Group poll released today has Bush at a 36% approval rating, which is 3 points LOWER THAN NIXON at the height of the Watergate Scandal. 33% Approve of the way he's handling the economy. This all begs the question: How long can he deny the reality of his grave mistakes without an effort to correct them?

Truly, the emperor is wearing no clothes.

I'm thinking that he is going to go as long as possible. Somewhere in his brain, he thinks that he's done nothing wrong and that America should loooove him for all the good that he has done.

Honesly, until enough people stand up and yell at him, this could go on till the next election.

well, when you surround yourself with people that agree with you, you can't help but feel that it's all REALLY ok. you know, he says that he's asked the generals in the army if they need more troops and they said no. what he doesn't say is that the last guy that said yes (to the tune of 500,000 troops) was fired! that administration isn't interesting in considering anything but how the see it working out.
