Reports from Iraq

*Today 14 U.S. Marines died in an attack near the Syrian border in western Iraq. This serves as a reminder that these terrorists are being drawn from outside the borders of Iraq due to our presence there. If that wasn't bad enough, two days ago 6 Marines from the same unit were killed in a firefight with insurgents. Another from that unit was killed the next day by a suicide care bomb. 21 dead in 3 days. Remember a year ago when 1 US soldier dying each day seemed like WAY too much? those 'salad days' are long gone. We've had nealy 41 soldiers killed in the last 10 days.

*Journalist Steven Vincent was abducted last night. He was shot dead and his body was found today.

*As seen in Salon:

When former Iraqi Maj. Gen. Abed Hamed Mowhoush died in U.S. custody on Nov. 26, 2003, American military officials issued a press release saying that he had passed away of natural causes after complaining of feeling sick.

That wasn't exactly the truth.

As Josh White explains in today's Washington Post, Mowhoush died while stuffed in a sleeping bag, wrapped in an electrical cord, after a CIA-sponsored group of Iraqi paramilitaries, working with Army interrogators, had beaten him severely with their fists, a club and a rubber hose.

The sad thing is that even more iraqis died.

If you chose to become a soldiers as your profession you have to take into account that some weird guy sends you somewhere to die for a lie.

And this will NOT stop. There is NO real exit strategy. I guess sooner or later the US Army will run on t heir heels and iraq will end up in big chaos - even bigger then now.

And Bush isn't even aware of what he is doing - he is as evil as Bin Laden.
