Dozen buildings damaged when twister rakes MSU

It seems Hurricane/Tropical Storm Rita ripped more than a little havoc on the campus of Mississippi State. A tornado went through campus hitting buildings, trees, and cars. Fortunately no one was hurt. Classes have been cancelle for the time being.

my hubby works at state and he said that it is a mess!! huge trees down, lloyd-ricks has a hole all the way through the roof. the cafeteria is damaged and so are several other buildings. not to mention the trailer park on the other side of state on 82. it got hit BAAAAD. fortunately, no one was really hurt.

katrina did a lot of small damage overall of campus, but this really hit hard out there. he's expecting a lot of overtime.
