Comic Book Legend Julius Schwartz dies at 88.

Few have given more to direct the field of sequential art (as a writer and editor) over the last half century, compared to Julius Schwartz. In the most vital ways, Schwartz brought about the modern super hero comic. I would go so far as to say his work has had an effect on the whole of adventure storytelling in the last half century--regardless of medium.

A giant sleeps.
