Turnabout, It Seems

In news you don't hear about too often, two Jackson, MS strip clubs filed a restraining order agaisnt the CITY. The mayor, Frank Melton, has personally raided several businesses in town, including strip clubs, but it seems that he's not been arresting people for crimes as much as he's just come in and forced the businesses to close for the day.

I think if people are committing crimes, stop 'em. if they aren't, then what's the mayor DOING?

That is funny. I don't blame them at all. Why is it that he keeps catching all these people doing bad things, yet never arrests anyone?

there's only 2 reasons i can guess:
1. whatever he's been seeing, it hasn't been so bad to actually arresta nyone. the idea that he "shut it down" grabs a headline w/o sticky, 'next-day' issues like 'proving a case'for trial.

2. we didn't elect a mayor, we elected a city daddy and our daddy wants us to straighten out, but not to punish us too harshly. you know, we really probably should be grounded. the city's getting away with murder.
