Weekly Review (Harpers.org)

quick bites:

*Seems that the June 30th Turnover of Sovereignty won't include the ability to make new laws or command armed forces. so, does this mean we're turning over the sovereign ability to do what exactly?

*Troops were playing AC/DC's "Hell's Bells" to annoy Fallujah gunmen. I'd have played AC/DC's "Highway to Hell" or "Hair of the Dog" by Nazareth (which sounds JUST LIKE AC/DC to me).

*Unicef released a report that claims Slavery is practiced in every country on the continent of Africa.

*NASA has been ordered not to talk to the Press about the film "The Day After Tomorrow" which deals with global warming related disasters. its feared that bad press would be generated for the President.
