NIGHTLINE may be Pre-empted

Sinclair Broadcast Group Inc. ordered its ABC affiliates to preempt tomorrow's broadcast of ``Nightline,'' which will air the names and photos of U.S. military personnel who have died in combat in Iraq, saying the move is politically motivated.

so ignoring the dead is a better way of honoring them? should we just pretend they didn't REALLY die? try to tell the families that's a good way to pay tribute to the ultimate sacrifice.

There is a real Irony here. This very same week, the World War 2 Memorial opens this week after nearly 50 years of ignoring our dead from THAT war. the juxtaposition is striking.
