Pre-Debate Tea Leaves.

The final debate is a little over an hour away. we are entering the home stretch here its a pretty tense and harsh time. this final stretch will be bitter and there will be little time for rights or the wrong kind of democracy (who are YOU voting for? oh...well let me handle that registration form for you then).

The GOP have a hard fight. they have to move this wounded rotten apple they have to the safety of the election. just get him back in. the issues have long fallen away from their campaign. What do they do now? How do they push this guy? where's the fuel for the last drive?

i say it will fall back on the old GOP favorites. Taxes and liberals. you can expect that every program that kerry suggests doing differently than bush will be claimed as impossible w/o raising everyone's taxes. Bush will try to scare you into the thought that we just might be electing a liberal! i have to wonder just how well this works outside the GOP strongholds.

that is it. you won't hear ANYTHiNG more about what bush or kerry will do on domestic issues from bush. he's gotta get back to terrorism! iraq! the president is like a man nudged into waking up when the topic of what we do about our OWN country. he can't talk about that...there's no polling points in it for him...and just like that man nudged into waking up and being asked a question he doesn't want to hear. he blurts out the easy knee jerk stuff. taxes. liberal. its easier than think about it. who wants to think about the mess he's gotten us into anyway. certainly not the President.

enjoy the debates. i may not be up for the commentary afterwards. we'll see. i would like to hear what you guys thought about it though.
