Bush Gets a Lawyer

"But he already has lawyers. he's a rich guy...why does he need a new one?" you ask?

Well, it seems he's not be in this position before. he's not needed personal legal representation in a case involving a president's administration blowing a CIA agent's cover in order to get some political payback. See, someone from the administration may just have leaked the name of Valerie Plame to Bob Novak, who published the info in an article.

"Polly, why would he do that?" you ask.

well, you see...Her husband is former ambassador Joseph Wilson. Bush sent Wilson to investigate some of the evidence that shows Iraq was amassing weapons of mass destruction. When he came back with evidence to the contrary they didn't like that. they decided to ignore the facts and proceed with the original theory in place as fact. Remember the state of the Union when Bush Told America that Iraq was trying to get Uranium from Africa? that is this.

Mr. Wilson published an article calling the president on it and shortly thereafter His wife had her cover blown by someone in the administration.

Does that mean the president did it himself? not necessarily. what it does mean is that SOMEONE did it and it appears to be someone close to the president. my bet is the VP.

the investigation is ongoing and the President has been in full stall mode. he'd love to get to the bottom of this...sometime after the first week in november.

Gosh...what's that smell? oh...i see.
it's guilt.

Oh, i know we aren't paying for this atty. i was pointing out that he already has private attys...just not ones that deal with outing federal agents for political payback. i realize that the law affords him certain protections and assumptions, and i know that getting an attorney doesn't mean guilt, but i'm not the law, and it is a known fact that someone in his administration did this. i'm telling you what i think. I even said I didn't think he did it. His administration did it. someone within it. It was unlawful and perhaps treasonous. He has stalled the investigation (some time in 2005 sound good? sure).

The Clinton comparison is one i YEARN for. PLEASE lets treat Bush like Clinton! can we? PLEASE? gimmie my independent counsel. gimmie the millions for investigations over several years...oh, but most of all, give me my impeachment now.

the behaviour and the resulting actions are so unrelated that it hurts.
