Tennessee Too

Well, it seems that the Mississippi Gulf Coast isn't the only place where VP Dick Cheney can get heckled. Some folks at the University of Tenn. weren't too happy to see him either. Some poeple don't agree with this sort of behaviour because of respect held for that office. I have mixed feelings about that notion. I don't hold the same respect for someone i think should be impeached.

I like the idea of respect for people that have worked to get into a position of respect, people that have earned it. But I also think that people in a position of respect should be held to a higher standard. And that if you are in those positions you should be able to handle being heckled. If you can't you shouldn't be in a high profile job. You say its hard being heckled, damn skippy, almost as hard as being Vice President of the United States.

I don't think these guys should be heckled less, I think they should be heckled more, all of them. These guys aren't nobility.

By the way, when did you turn British mistre "behaviour". That's damn un-American if you ask me. You call that respect?
