Here's what the NYTimes ran today:
Pretty straightforward, huh? well, god help you if you were watching FoxNews today at lunch when this story broke. Their headline? IRAN COULD HAVE NUCLEAR BOMB BY 2010.U.S. Says Iran Ended Atomic Arms Work
By MARK MAZZETTI
WASHINGTON, Dec. 3 — A new assessment by American intelligence agencies concludes that Iran halted its nuclear weapons program in 2003 and that the program remains frozen, contradicting judgment two years ago that Tehran was working relentlessly toward building a nuclear bomb. The conclusions of the new assessment are likely to reshape the final year of the Bush administration, which has made halting Iran’s nuclear program a cornerstone of its foreign policy.
The assessment, a National Intelligence Estimate that represents the consensus view of all 16 American spy agencies, states that Tehran is likely keeping its options open with respect to building a weapon, but that intelligence agencies “do not know whether it currently intends to develop nuclear weapons.”
Seriously.
the spin never ends.

We have 16 spy agencies? Seriously? I can think of maybe 4.
And how weird would it be to be a country, the leader of another country, that kept telling folks "really, I'm not developing nuclear weapons" and have no one believe you. Would you sit up at night trying to figure out how to get folks to believe you? Would you call up the leader of another country and say "c'mon man, I don't have weapons"? Would you call up one of your buddy nations just to vent? Would you sit around laughing to yourself about the irony of being hated for something that you were doing?
How annoyed would you be when Fox ran its news the way it did? Would you throw up your hands in disgust?
my favorite part is Bush's response. From what i have read he just kind of shrugs and still talks about going after Iran as they are still a "danger". Gotta love it.
