The Huffington Post | The Blog

From the AP:

'Bush Approval a Low for Recent 2-Termers'.
'His ratings on everything from handling Iraq to the economy to Social Security and other domestic issues are at their lowest levels so far.'
Now, i've read this several times, and its basically saying that Bush's numbers are way lower than the last few 2 term presidents (Reagan0--57% and Clinton--61%). so what does that mean? was the last time we had numbers like this, the President was resigning from office? that's pretty bad.

Hmmm ... I don't really understand that ... "a low" , well maybe it is because I'm not a native english speaker.

But anyway - it doesn't matter how low he will get , he doesn't care and it is his last term anyway. I only hope that he will not start something with Iran - now that would really suck.

Polls are done to measure the popularity of a politician. it can be viewed by the number that approve of how a President does his job. For example, at this point in their second term Reagan's approval rating was 57% and Clinton's was 61%. Bush's is at or near a record low, not only for his time in office but also for all 2 term Presidents as well.

if his numbers go lower, it becomes hard for him to get his policies across because other politicians that DO have to be re-elected will not want to side with him. THAT would be a big deal.
