Holy Crap!
SYDNEY - Quiksilver, Global Village Media Group and MegaRamp Events recently announced their sponsorship of world skateboarding champion Danny Way's attempt to jump across the Great Wall of China on Saturday in Beijing.
The feat is scheduled to take place at the historic Juyongguan Gate, a landmark site among the top tourist destinations of the Great Wall. Way, 31, of Encenitas, California, already holds multiple world records, including two for distance jumped (24m) and vertical height over a skateboard ramp (7.14m), and was the first two-time winner of Thrasher magazine's "Skater of the Year" award. These records, set last year, are merely the backdrop to Way's world record-setting attempt in Beijing, where he will unveil his specially designed MegaRamp, and try to break both these records, plus another for speed on a skateboard, in the dramatic attempt.

Looks like Danny made the jump...
Sponsor Quiksilver Inc announced that X Games gold medalist and DC Shoes team rider Danny Way set a new world record by successfully landing his "Quiksilver Great Wall of China MegaRamp Jump" on July 9 at the Ju Yong Guan Gate outside of Beijing.
Way already held skateboarding world records for distance (24 meters) and unaided height (7.14 meters), but the Great Wall of China leap was his greatest test ever. Way set a new world record by becoming the first human being to successfully leap the wall without motorized assistance, a feat he accomplished an incredible five times in front of Chinese dignitaries including the ministers of extreme sports and culture, friends, family, the world media and thousands of spectators.
Numerous people have tried to jump over the Great Wall, most notably a 2002 attempt that left a mountain biker dead, but Way was the first to attempt the feat on a skateboard.
