Respect for stay-at-home mothers has been poisoned by a toxic combination of the village elders' war on the traditional family and radical feminism's misogynistic crusade to make working outside the home the only marker of social value and self-respect.
George Stephanopoulos asks him about these "radical feminists" Santorum is so prone to talk about:
STEPHANOPOULOS: Let's get specific here, name one or two of these radical feminists who are on this crusade.well, he WAS right. that WAS terrible. haw haw haw haw....what an ass.
SANTORUM: Well, I mean, uh, you know, you have, you go, you go back to, um, ah, what's her name, well, Gloria Steinem, but I'm trying to remember, ah, [tsk], eh, can't remember the woman's name. That's terrible—anyway...
LOL.
ReplyDeleteAhhmmm ... well ... you know - what can I say ?
you know, if you plan to lay the ills of society at someone's feet...say, 'the radical feminists", you should be able to name some of these folks. i mean, otherwise, it's like you're talking about 'the evil spirits' or somesuch.
ReplyDeleteIts this sort of thing that exposes their political philosophy to be no deeper than a bumper sticker slogan.
Exactly !!
ReplyDeleteThat's what I wanted to express with my comment.
The evil thing ... ooohooooo
